Gaelic Athletic Association introduces Triangle to new sports

March 15, 2014

wral_report_on Raleigh_GAA_March_2014Raleigh GAA makes its TV debut. There was a great turnout by the Raleigh Cú Chulainn GAA club, at their home field, which is located at 7417 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC 27610.

The club members took great pride in showcasing their talents as they bring to light, two of the traditional Irish sports of Gaelic Football and Hurling to the Triangle in North Carolina. As the club celebrates its 2nd anniversary this year, it also celebrates a growth in membership from 15 to almost 200 people. This is down to the hard work and dedication of Steve Shannon – club founder – and the many other club members that have volunteered to develop and maintain the club to ensure it is part of the Triangle community for many generations to come.
