November 1st return

October 30, 2020
Team, I hope that everyone is healthy and enjoying the nice fall weather we are lucky to have. The board have been hard at work to establish protocols and planning for our return to training. We have been holding weekly calls to prepare for this rollout. We have used the GAA return to play guideline along with local regulation to safely move forward. We are going to have a few weeks of fitness training, with social distancing and no contact drills, hopefully followed by individual skills, and when appropriate we will move forward.  We realize that not everyone will wish to participate, but below you will see the requirements for those that do. All members attending training must take and complete the survey established by the GAA. The completed certificate must be emailed to info@raleighgaa.com. There will also be a completed health questionnaire to be filled out online. These are mandatory to attend your first training. Each training thereafter will have a quick link to affirm that no changes in health have occurred. Again a mandatory form before entering the field. The GAA course is concise and only about 15-20 mins are needed.

These volunteers will be ensuring that all protocols for safety are being followed. There will be no shared equipment once skill training starts, so personal gear will be used. If you are brand new and do not have gear we will sign out items that will remain your responsibility to maintain and bring to each training. I know that words mandatory and protocol and enforce sound very strict, and they are intended to. We take the health of our players and coaching staff very seriously, and will make sure that we do everything to have a safe and enjoyable return to play. It is very likely that as spring comes, and our training continues some rules will still be in play.  Players, please download Teamer app for confirmation of training attendance. If you are not on our WhatsApp for general communication please reply and we will add you. Brier Creek field Sunday November 1st 10:00 AM. We are allowed groups of 50, but we are not reserving the field. This means, we may be sharing space with others. It also means please watch future emails and Teamer notifications for trains location changes. I am personally looking forward to seeing each and every member of our club in person, and hope for the continued growth and strength of our club as 2021 starts.
Is mise le meas,
