The event kicked off with a very detailed secretary’s report by Gerry Farrell and a breakdown of the club’s finances by George McEvoy. This was followed by a chairman’s address by Dara O’hAnnaidh, which provided a nice summary of what was an incredibly successful year for Raleigh GAA. After that, we had the……election of officers and committee leads. The growth of our club was further in evidence as many of our members put themselves forward for roles, which really added to proceedings.
Once elections were over, a number of motions were discussed in a very interactive and engaging debate. The details of these motions will be summarized in the minutes of the AGM, which will be distributed to all in the coming weeks. Finally we would like to sincerely thank the members of the 2014 board, namely Dara, Gerry and George, who stepped down to allow for others to take up the baton. It is the responsibility of the new board to maintain the very high standard by those individuals.
