RALEIGH, N.C. – Raleigh Cú Chulainn GAA Club is proud to announce a historic milestone as three of its adult teams—Camogie, Hurling, and Men’s Gaelic Football—prepare to represent North Carolina at the 2026 USGAA Finals in Boston, Massachusetts, from August 14–16.
This marks the first time in the club’s history that Raleigh Cú Chulainn will have three teams competing at the national championships, reflecting the remarkable growth of Gaelic Games in the Triangle and the dedication of the club’s players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters.
Throughout the 2026 season, all three teams have demonstrated exceptional commitment, spending months training, competing, and preparing for the opportunity to compete against the best clubs in North America.
The Camogie team continues to build on the rapid growth of the women’s game in Raleigh. A season filled with new experiences, competitive tournaments, and continued development has earned the squad a well-deserved place on the national stage.
The Hurling team enters Nationals following another outstanding season. Southeast Champions and making their fifth consecutive appearance at the USGAA Finals, Raleigh continues to establish itself among the country’s premier hurling clubs. After winning the Junior C National Championship in recent years, the team now looks forward to testing itself at a higher level of competition.
The Men’s Gaelic Football team has enjoyed one of its strongest seasons to date. Through months of preparation, challenging tournaments, and valuable competitive experience, the squad has developed into a confident group eager to represent the club in Boston.
While the Ladies Gaelic Football team will not be competing at this year’s Nationals, the group has nonetheless had an outstanding year of development, showing significant growth in participation, skill level, and team cohesion. The progress made throughout the season has laid a strong foundation for future competition and reflects the continued expansion of the women’s game within the club.
Nearly 50 players, coaches, and volunteers will travel to Boston to represent Raleigh Cú Chulainn and the wider North Carolina Irish community. Their journey has been made possible through the incredible support of volunteers, local businesses, fundraising efforts, and generous club sponsors.

Founded to promote Ireland’s native sports and culture in North Carolina, Raleigh Cú Chulainn GAA Club welcomes players of all backgrounds and experience levels. Today, the club continues to grow each year, providing opportunities for adults to participate in Camogie, Hurling, Men’s Gaelic Football, and Ladies Gaelic Football while fostering friendship, community, and Irish heritage.
As the countdown to Boston continues, the entire Raleigh Cú Chulainn community stands behind its three teams as they proudly represent Raleigh, North Carolina, and the Southeast at the 2026 USGAA Finals.
