St Patrick’s day parade in Raleigh!

March 10, 2018

We will be marching proudly in the parade once again this year on Saturday March 17th. It starts at the same place and time as previous years – 10am at the intersection of Lane and Wilmington Streets. Please be there by 9:30am and wear your Raleigh GAA jersey if you have one – if not, we can provide one. We’ll display our skills in football and hurling as we walk, while skillfully not hitting spectators with stray sliotars! Kat is making up hundreds of club business cards which we will also hand out along the route. Kids are very welcome to march with us too.

We will host an introduction to the sports the following Saturday morning 24th March at Martin Middle School from 9am for anyone we might recruit at the parade, with pub league finals after.

The parade will end at around 11am and we will have a booth at the end of Fayetteville street till 2pm. Volunteers to spread the word on our club at the booth are very welcome. We’ll break down the booth at 2pm and head to our sponsor the Hibernian for some well earned refreshments in the club jerseys.
