Raleigh GAA gave a short demonstration at Biogen

Biogen is a multinational biotech company, specializing in medical drugs for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, hemophilia, and cancer patients.

One of Biogen’s main sites is based in RTP, with manufacturing facilities, drug development, and patient support operations on site. There are over 1000 employees in RTP.

Biogen has a Diversity and Inclusion department, which supports a multicultural network to promote understanding of different cultures within Biogen. There has been an Irish Social event for several years in Biogen’s Cambridge (Boston) facility, and this was introduced to the RTP site last year. This year dancers from the Rince na h’Eireann school of dance, musicians from Chapel Hill, and sportsmen from the GAA were invited to demonstrate their skills to Biogen employees.

See attached some pictures of the GAA demonstration.

There was also an Irish food buffet, find your Irish heritage booth, and presentations on life in Ireland, by Irish employees of Biogen.
